Important information for players, parents, coaches, officials and clubs, including insurance claims, refunds and disciplinary procedures.

Insurance Claims

Coverage and claim information for registered participants.

At Northern NSW Futsal, the safety and well-being of our players, coaches and staff is our top priority. To help ensure that everyone involved in the game is protected, comprehensive insurance coverage is provided for registered participants. Whether you are a player, coach or team official, it is essential to have the correct registration and insurance in place before the season begins.

When you join a team entered in a Northern NSW Futsal competition or tournament for the first time during the season, a one-off additional membership fee will apply. This membership provides insurance coverage for the season and allows you to participate in any program or competition facilitated by Northern NSW Futsal.

Membership renewal: The membership resets on 31 May each calendar year.

Coaches and officials will be advised how to complete their registration process by the coordinators overseeing their involvement.

Refund Policy

Futsal representative programs and community club programs.

Northern NSW Futsal and its member clubs have adopted the following refund policy.

Player registration

  • If a player chooses to leave the club after registering with Northern NSW Futsal, the registration fee will be refunded less a $30 administration fee.
  • If a player plays one game and then chooses to leave the club, no refund of the registration fee will be provided.
  • No refund of the registration fee will be provided after three rounds, regardless of whether the player has played.
Active Kids note: This policy also applies to the Active Kids Program. If your child leaves the club and moves to another club or sport, the rebate cannot be claimed a second time under the rules of the NSW Government program.

Player and team game fees — community competitions

  • If a team forfeits a game, the game must be paid for in full unless at least three days' notice is provided before the event.
  • The opposing team will receive three competition points. Where possible, another opponent will be arranged. If no opponent is available, the team may have a kick-around. The game fee will still be charged.

Player fees — representative programs

  • Players must pay all monies by the due date or they may lose their place in the team.
  • Players who withdraw from a Super League competition will not receive a refund.
  • Players who withdraw from a National State team may receive a refund if a replacement player is found and notice is given before the final payment, usually one month before the tournament.
  • Players who withdraw after full payment has been received will not receive a refund.

Cautions

  1. Delaying the restart of play.
  2. Dissent by word or action.
  3. Entering or re-entering the court without permission.
  4. Failing to respect the required distance when play is restarted, including kick-ins and kick-offs.
  5. Unsporting behaviour.
  6. Persistent infringements.

Send-off offences — minimum penalties

  1. Denying a goal-scoring opportunity — one-game suspension.
  2. Receiving a second yellow card in the same game — one-game suspension.
  3. Denying a goal when the goal is unattended — one-game suspension.
  4. Using offensive, insulting or abusive language or gestures — two-game suspension.
  5. Serious foul play — two-game suspension.
  6. Biting or spitting at someone — three-game suspension.
  7. Violent conduct — three-game suspension.
These are minimum penalties. Depending on the incident and any reports received, a penalty may be extended.

Appeals

A person accused of a send-off offence may appeal by writing to the Northern NSW Futsal Secretary. The Secretary will arrange for the Executive Committee to hear the case.

An appeal fee of $50 applies to each appeal.

Coaches and managers

Coaches and managers are also bound by the rules of conduct and play. A referee may issue yellow or red cards to coaches and managers where appropriate.
